Last month, I had an amazing time with Tiara and Jose for an engagement shoot at Ink Block and the Underground at Ink Block in Boston, MA. What an amazing couple to work with! The shoot was incredibly modern and Tiara and Jose brought along not one, but two great outfits to really highlight our surroundings!

The Ink Block is located in Boston’s South End. It’s the epicenter of Urban Living. When living at Ink Block, you have access to some truly fantastic amenities. Who wouldn’t want to make a trip to Whole Foods without ever leaving the building? Talk about convenience!

I met up with Jose and Tiara in July to take some incredibly urban engagement photos for their upcoming wedding. We had an absolute blast! Both Tiara and Jose are very fashionable and creative, and when they showed me the outfits they would be wearing, I knew I had found some amazing clients. Well, I guess, technically, they found me, but I like to think we found each other!

We decided it would be a good idea to hit the Underground at Ink Block for some of these engagement photos. The Underground is… well, underground at the Ink Block. It’s an 8-acre underpass that spans from the South End Ink Block neighborhood down into South Boston. It’s a complete urban park with plenty of cultural attractions. Boardwalks and bicycle paths sprawl along the Underground, where you can admire world-class street art, enjoy some amazing retail shops, take your dog to the park and even stop along the way for some out-of-this-world food and beverage experiences. I LOVE coming here for engagement shoots because there is just so much to do and see!

The entire day spent with Jose and Tiara was time well spent! They were all smiles and super receptive to any shots I wanted to try. That always makes for the best engagement shoots, when the couple knows how to let go and try new things. Their first outfit was very fashion-forward but still on the upscale side. Great for the area we were in. But even when they got a little more formal with the second outfits, they never seemed out of place. I think they’re just a good looking couple who probably look great anywhere they go!

All in all, I had an amazing time photographing Jose and Tiara back in July at the Ink Block. To Jose and Tiara, I’m so excited for you two to get married! You’re such a beautiful couple and you’re genuinely awesome people. Congrats on finding each other. I think the world is a better place because of the two of you! Cheers!
